2010 – The Year We Do Disco

We’ve carried on the Space theme on from the Air To Achilles artwork, a musical interlude this time though in the form of ’2010 – the year we do disco’ mixed by our very own DJ/designer Carl Rylatt.

“Italo, cosmic, space, whatever disco, it doesn’t matter, it’s all about the SYNTHS! This mix is mainly made up of Italo Disco bits and pieces from the late 70s to the mid eighties with the odd newbie thrown in. Decided to make this mix after a friend asked me about it so I turfed out a bunch of the old records I used to play out in Moloko in Cardiff (remember that?)

So, here it is, be prepared, one hour or so’s worth of synths, vocoders, robots, space ladies and dubious lyrics mainly made by fairly sleazy looking men with moustaches. Can’t go wrong really.”

Music and that what I like. It’s possible I may play these when I dj, mostly to people who would rather hear Rhianna, this is a relationship that suits me fine. A couple of these are from a party we played at this years SWN festival which was much fun, the room was full of people who didn’t want to listen to Rhianna or were TOO DRUNK TO CARE! Either way, good times.
