We wanted to create something contemporary and different for a ‘street food’ Indian eatery. Working with Blanket Communications we developed the identity using a photoshoot with the fantastic model Sandy K to help drive the illustrative elements and style for the rest of the brand. We were looking for Bollywood meets Grand Theft Auto. All the male characters within the menus were actually the waiting staff from Chai Street and the Mint and Mustard – but in disguise with 70′s bollywood-style wigs and moustaches.

Solution: Identity design, Interior design and consultation, Website design & build, Advertising photography & illustration, Exterior signage and window graphic design & installation, Marketing materials and menu designs.

Burnt Red Tea, our very own custom tea blend!

For Christmas and New Year we decided to get our clients a little something different. Using the superior tea-brewing and blending abilities of one of our clients – Chief Brewer, Kas from Waterloo Gardens Teahouse, we set about creating our very own tea blend. Made with smoked tea (Russian Caravan) sourced from the Keeman and Yunnan provinces (China) blended with orange, star anise and chilli for that ultimate winter warmer. We have created …. [cue dramatic music] ‘Burnt Red’! The ultimate in smokey, orangey, chilli tea sensation!

We’ve been a little slow getting these out due to illness before Christmas, so if we’ve promised it to you, don’t worry, it will be on its way shortly.

Everyone involved in the collation of this recipe book have donated their time and efforts in aid of the Tenovus Cancer Charity. Burning Red offered to provide photography services to help bring the fantastic recipes to life. The recipes really do taste as good as they look (if we say so ourselves) and they were donated kindly by the very fantastic culinary genius Emma Jenkins of EJcatering.

Music by John Hardy Music

The book was produced and put together by Superwoman, a women’s netoworking group which raises money for charity at many events. The book will be going on sale through all Tenovus shops across South Wales and the West with ALL proceeds going to charity.
